Schedule a COMPASS Exam
Call the Northeast Testing Center at 1-800-348-9033 ext. 7281
Plan for approximately 2-3 hours. Please let the school know the date/time you have scheduled an exam so you can be excused. You must bring a photo ID. There is no charge if you are taking the test for Northeast. If you retake the test there is a $10 fee. You may take it 2 times per semester. If you need results sent to another college, the cost is $15. See the COMPASS site at Northeast for more information. COMPASS Resources

Who should take the COMPASS?
Take the COMPASS if you plan to attend a 2-year college, such as Northeast, Southeast or Central Community College. The results are used to determine which level of math or English course you will be placed.
If you are planning to attend a 4-year college right out of high school or want to be considered for specific scholarships, you should take the ACT instead of the COMPASS. Generally, students who are taking college prep classes (including courses like Algebra I, II, Geo/Trig & Calculus), take the ACT. Talk to the school counselor if you have any other questions. |
